SLH Design Inc, is a Portland-based residential design company with the goal of creating high-quality, safe, functional, and visually pleasing environments for our clients.

In addition to regular design services, SLH Design provides home staging and redesign to individuals or realtors. Sherrie has an “expert eye,” enabling her to enter a home and immediately see the possibilities. She can guide the home owner toward changes that will bring the best price.

Sherrie can create “theme” rooms or suggest special treatments on walls for a unique look. She has experience in faux painting and wall texturing.

The needs and desires of the client are always her first priority.

Our Process

We listen to your preferences and offer suggestions to meet your tastes.

It is very important that the designer understands exactly the client’s needs. We accomplish this by asking leading questions and listening carefully. All communications and specifications are committed to writing.

This process continues as we assist each client by:

Clarifying the design problems
Planning and organizing the project
Finding solutions
Preventing costly mistakes
Being a liason/advocate for the client with contractors
Acting as a third party between opposing tastes
Seeing that the job is finished on time and on budget.

We specialize in incorporating items you already own into the final design.

Fees

Our fees are very reasonable. We provide comfort, quality, and beauty in our designs, no matter what size the project is.

Fees can be assessed at an hourly rate or a project rate.

We also have package rates for:

Floor and furniture plans
Floor, furniture, and lighting plans
